I just wanted to drop this note. I was under
Bullitt #1676 today changing my oil over to Mobil 1 tri-synthetic And noticed that my rear tranny seal was leaking. Now this is with about 9000 miles. So I guess its a trip to the dealer for replacement. Was just wondering if mine might be an isolated case and to just have all you Bullittheads take a look under the old chassis.

Thanx Havgun #1676

With less then 2000 miles, I also noticed wetness from the rear seal of my trans. Left a dime size area on my garage floor. I am sure others have the same problem.

When they rebuild my tranny, one of the items that was replaced was the rear seal. I guess Ford know something we didn't :-B

Mine was replaced at about 4,000 miles. I had a very slow leak (about one (1) drop per week on the garage floor) from the time the car was new.

Good, or bad, your's is not an isolated case.

Yep. Same problem here. Started a few days ago. Guess I need to retract my statement from "anyone with no mechanical issues."
