I went to a local Ford dealer today for my first oil change and they reflashed my pcm for a recall. Recall # 08C02...was told it was for the passenger side airbag. Just curious if anyone else has had this done?

I had mine in the dealer once in the summer for the initial oil change. They never mentioned a pcm flash for the airbag issue. The article says they started the recall in feb 08 for the issue, so maybe mine had it before i bought it in april of 08.

i bought my bullitt in april 08. got the recall notice in the mail a couple months later. takes a few minutes for the fix.

Ah, so that's why my wifie would never ride with me in the 07. Shame, her Insurance is paid in full.

I use the myford.com site to schedule all my maintenance and see all the recalls. When I first scheduled an apointment it added this recall to the maintenance checklist.

It reflashed the computer to better calculate the speed/forces in an impact in conjunction with the force in which the airbag was deployed.

e.g. If you were in a 30MPH crash the airbag deployed as if it was a 100MPH crash.

I had to have the passenger side air bag recall done on my 07.
