When I went to put my 17X9's on yesterday the very first lug nut I tried to take off felt very strange. It was tight, in fact too tight. Then I noticed it didn't look exactly straight
I actually thought the stud might break before it came off, but it didn't. It was crossthreaded and completely boogered up the threads of the nut and stud
It looks like the jammed the nut full of JB Weld and impacted it on to ship it.
I don't know whether to take it back to the dealer and let them fix it, or just eat it and do it myself. It's clearly Ford's responsibility, but I don't know if I want my car sitting at a dealer's shop having who know what gorilla working on my car.
