On Royal Purples web site they have a video showing an 8-10 hp gain by changing out the engine, differential, transmission fluids. they also had a coolant additive that reduces engine temps by 10%. Any body have any thoughts on this? Will any synthetic fluids get the same results? Thinking about trying this but would like some opinions from you Bullittheads thanks
Gaining horsepower means nothing without maintaining the protective lubrication for engine parts. Anyone can put a really light oil in there to gain power, the real question is the lubrication performance. That's what you need to find out about.
The same goes for air filters. You need filtration as well as flow. Flow without filtration is meaningless as it will eventually destroy your engine. K&N flows well but does not filter well. It's up to you to decide how much filtration is needed for you to sleep at night.
