Decided I needed to pull the Mach out of the garage last weekend.
As I was getting in, I must have said out loud, "Wow, what a difference!".
My husband shook his head at me, and told me I was going to be disappointed driving her.
(You know, after all these months driving the Bullitt)
It's definitely a whole different experience, but she still felt good.
And I SWEAR to you...compared to that car, I feel invisible in the Bullitt. I cannot go down the block in the Mach without people stopping, pointing, thumb's up, etc...
ANYWAY...she ran great, she stopped fine, and she even started back up when I stopped her!
I still love her even if she thinks she's neglected!

Yes treva, I notice a big difference in the 69 and Bullitt too. She sits a lot lower and the ride is a lot stiffer and the steering is way looser. The seats seem like you're sitting on bricks compared to the Bullitt seats!

So,can you tell me the specs. of these three 1969 MACH 1s?? 1969 was my favorite year for the musclecars. Wish I could go back and do it again, this time with a bit more cash!!!! $4500 would buy you a whole lotta muscle!!!

Mine has a 351W small block engine, H code. Automatic tranny. 2-barrel==250 hp. The 4-barrel 69's had 290 hp. Mine is all stock with 64,000 original miles. I have had it since 1987--2nd owner. It is in the shop as we speak getting new factory paint--Royal Maroon. It will be show quality! Hummmm do I show the 69 or the Bullitt at the next show?

Vicki...I was pondering the same question.

One year I asked my husband to bring his car so we'd have a before and after (resto)!

This year, I may have to ask him to drive one of them for me, cuz I think I want them both there.
I know...I'm a show off!

Yeah, well....what do you think I've been hoping for all these years????!!!

That's ALWAYS been my ultimate dream: the 428 Cobra Jet.

Sometimes, we just have to settle.
