Real quick if anyone knows, are the screws in the trim ring Torx? If so what size, want to work on this today but I don't have any bits this small.

If you are speaking of the aluminum colored trim ring around the shifter console/boot area....it is all plastic and one piece...doesn't come apart...screws are fake.

another thought is using a stock GT unit.
Then buying the aluminum aftermarket trim ring.
I have thought about doing this myself for the hell of it. I like the ideal of real aluminum :D I would match that up with a RedLine custom boot though.

I hadn't thought of that. It's a good idea. I just may do that!
