I'm new to the "modification world" and I need some help.

I installed a K&N Air filter last night but,
What does a silencer look like? and Where is it so I can remove it?

Thanks

It's that big rubber thing that attaches to your air box (the thing the air filter's in) and has a long nose that fits into the fender.

Exactly what it says, a 7.00 dryer duct from Home Depot. I cut a 4" diameter hole in my air silencer, attached one end of the duct to it and the other end into the fender and down to the fog light hole. Sucks more air from outside the engine compartment through a bigger hole than the stock air silencer tube. I did notice a SOTP increase in power. It's a cheap mod until I decide to spend the money for a Densecharger. From all I've read here on the site, it seems the way to go for a cold air system. But then again, there's always that beautiful Shaker intake.
