I stopped by the Jeep shop tonight on the way home from work.. need to get some lower gears in the transfer case, and need a price quote ... along side of the shop that I frequent is a Mustang shop - with a very, very, very nice 65 Shelby GT 350 sitting outside. It was so nice, I had to back up and take a second look when the folks in the garage come out and start asking me questions about the bullitt, how it runs, handle, etc. I was so impressed by the Shelby.. even the dash was signed by Carroll that I missed the conversation about the bullitt. I didn't mean to be rude, but in stark comparison between the two, I was awe struck.

The group finally agreed that in 30 years folks such as I will stop by when they see a bullitt instead of the Shelby. I think I agree.

Oh, I don't know.
I think in 30 years, there will be still be a lot of these 2000-2002 Mustangs around, but how many Shelby's will there be???
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE MY BULLITT.
But if I could have a Shelby and be able to stay sane driving it in rush hour traffic every single day, I'd be there IN A HEARTBEAT!
For now, I'll settle for my little ole Mach, and my beautiful Bullitt!

My Bullitt(5093) is starting to attract more attention from Non-Mustang types. I had a guy ask me about when I was at the Gas Station the other day. A friend of his from California bought one and until then this guy had not heard about them. He proceded to ask me all kinds of questions and I happily obliged. He said he really liked it an he appreciated me sharing the info. :-B

Yeah I became aware that there are many people that know nothing about them. I had a guy recently ask me who I got to put the Bullitt emblem on the back of the car for me. I told him Ford Motor Company.

So...item #1, my husband wouldn't appreciate item #1!!! But, he might be even more unhappy with item #2!!!
You should have seen his initial face, when I brought the Bullitt home! And that wasn't $45k!!!
And since I refuse to part with the 3 remaining Mustangs I have, I can't afford my dream car...yet.
