Donwil,
Mine does the same thing. I think it is just the rear amps taking a few seconds to warm up fully before they kick in.

My speakers also take a second to warm up before they kick in with the load thumping sound

That's all I have used also. No problems with the player reading them. I can see how you may have problems with labels if you leave them in the car with it closed up in the summer. I just use a sharpie to write on mine what the disc is. Lets see....

some Patsy, a little Ricky Nelson, a hot deuce coupe, think I might just go listen to some tunes and exhaust.

i haven't had any probs with my burned CDRs either. from a computer standpoint, it's just digital data it's reading. it doesn't care where the 1s and 0s are coming from.

However, with CDRWs, you may encounter problems. Even home CD players have a rough time with them sometimes.

I use CDRW's in mine with absolutely no problems at all. Granted i do not have the Mach 460 in my Bullitt, only the standard stereo but it still reads CDR's and RW's just as easily as store bought CD's.

These amps built under the back speaker deck have built in 2-3 second delays to prevent you from blowing out your speakers upon firing up your stereo.

Its amazing what you can learn when one reads the damn manual. Could'nt figure out why the stereo sounded like total crap. Then read where there were all these configuration options. Oh well at least the car sounds good enough to not need the radio/Cd most of the time.

All I got to say is RTFM....

Probably will be saying this again at X-mas putting together all those toys for the kiddos...

Every since I’ve had my Bullitt, My opinion of the sound system was not very good. I was kind off disappointed. Other people that I have spoke with tell be how good the the MACH 460 sounds. Some of those people listened to mine and suggested I have the dealer take a look at it. My wife has a 2000 Eddie Bower Explore. The sound system in it sounds excellent. Tonight I finally decided to read up on this MACH 460 system.
Man my last car stereo wasn’t near this fancy. So I get to the DSP part and I notice it’s set to NEWS, advance it once and JAZZ appears, and OMG , it was like going from mono no bass to stereo with bass, it’s a whole new stereo!

Please spare me any “I’d rather listen to the exhaust notes” remarks.

I posted an earllier thread because in one area of Houston my radio detunes from the classic rock station I listen to during my morning commute and tunes into cell phone calls. I guess I've got the FBI special hardware included with the Mach 460.

Hey FASTBULLITT,

That is what I meant when I stated on an earlier post to RTFM. That little book surprised the heck out of me when I finally opened it. Just like Escrotumus stated "I'm a guy I dont need no stinking manual!". Well that what I thought.

Hey, at least it wasn't the wife telling me this time.
