Hank, the wife kinda understood, but said if I bought a Subaru WRX, I would be home by now. I reminded her that she thought the WRX looked like it had bug-eyes, and it's slower and less fun than the Bullitt. Plus, she knows I've slept in a lot worse places, like on the Iraq/Saudi Border for eight months, eleven years ago. Can't stop thinking about our troops at war now.
The Vortech is great. Gentle as a kitten in vaccum and like a lion in boost. Dynos between at 375-360 rw/hp and 370-350 lbs/tq. However, I'm running rich and my engine check light will not go off even with MIL Eliminators. Vortech, mechanics, tuners, and others here in the club are advising a custom chip based on my mods and conservative A/F ratios. So, I'm "trying" not to push over 5 or 6 psi until I get a good tune and new chip in the next couple of weeks. Max. Boost approx. 10 psi at 5,750 rpms with a 3.12 drive pulley at Denver's attitude. This pulley would be way too much for sea level with our stock pistons, IMHO. Best advice for a those getting a SC is be able to live w/out a warranty for everything, ensure a good tune and then enjoy kicking some SS A$$.
P.S. BullittBro, I finally found and kicked me some.
