Dealer was aboat ready to deliver 5508 after a whole new clutch, pressure plate and throwought bearing install. The Service MGR test drove and still heard the squeel!!!! Now they're saying it's probably the pedal and or cable? Doesn't sound right to me. I haven't heard the new squeel, but the one I heard was definately caused by something rotating.

Any ideas?

Come to think of it, it happens the most when I'm in neutral or 1st while parked or at a light. And usually after it's warm.

No, I'd rather have them keep it for a few months while they dick around and try to replace every component in the box! That way, they can put a few more scratches in it and maybe a few more miles test driving it!!

Sounds fabulous doesn't it!

Wade,

Have you had a chance to go driving through the hill country yet? Thought about you when driving home from the San Antonio Airport on Wednesday night. I live 66 miles up I35 from the Airport, but typically drive through the back roads. The 66 mile drive increases to 73 miles, but it is a blast with all the hills and turns. Just be careful of all the critters out there. Lots of deer, skunks, birds, and Texas Speed Bumps (called Armadillos for non-natives). The drive to Fredricksburg, Johnson City, Marble Falls through Lukenbach is a nice start.

Well, I want and busted 5508 out of the hospital tonight. Just got back. The clutch feels a lot different. Actually better! It could be that I haven't drove it in 4 days, but nevertheless it's back at the home drome.

Ya know...it's a sad state of affairs when you dred taking your vehicle to the people that built it!!!!

BTW, Check this out...While I was picking it up, a tech cracked up this customers car in the back lot!!!!!

I think I would have killed someone if it had been mine. Of course I didn't know it wasn't mine at the time, but all the scuttlebut around the service area had me worried!

Best thing of all was the price $0.00. All covered under warrenty with MODS and all!

I have what sounds like the same darn noise. I took it to the dealer once and they blew some smoke up my you-know-what about there's a TSB out for it and there's no fix yet. What they described wasn't what I told them was wrong. The noise comes and goes and happens most when the car is warm. Sometimes a really bad squeaky squawky noise happens when the clutch is fully engaged. I'm taking it in next week and demanding a fix - new clutch, new tranny, something. Just get rid of the noise.

I agree. It is a sad state of affairs when one doesn't look forward to taking the car to the folk that are supposed to be the most knowledgeable. Just make it right and make it free.
