Mrauburn at Stangnet has a post that says that he spoke with the team Mustang folks last weekend and they confirmed that Bullitt Production is over.

Do we believe it?

My bullitt is scheduled to be built on Aug 6th, and i have confirmed that with someone at the plant.

I'll bet the "no more produced" part refers to Vin # being issued which would tie into the normal time line from vin to production.That would dovetail right around that middle to end of August date.IMO.

Bullitt's will be produced until the end of 2001 production. The only thing that is over, is the ability to "order" one from your dealer. If you want a Bullitt it will have to come from dealer stock. Better get out there soon!

OK guys and girls, this is the scoop. This is right from the mouth of Micky D'Armi, the Mustang Brand Manager at Ford. The Bullitt production will end with the 2001 Mustang bulid out. This will occur in late August. He doesn't have a specific date for the last Bullitt, but it's probably around Aug 20. The VINs for some have not been issued, but there is no chance for dealers to order anymore. The Mustang is "balanced out" for 2001 and no changes in specs can be made to any scheduled vehicles. I have a customer who wants a green Bullitt, the one thats coming in was ordered in blue. Its not being built until 8/16, but I can't change the color now, its locked in. So, there are more Bullitts on the way, its just a matter of finding one that's still available for sale.

0093 is absolutely correct. I had two DHG's built this week for dealer stock, and have VIN #'s for 2 more DHG's and a black Bullitt to be built in August.

2001 Mustang production ends 8/31/01. Last year, however, 2000 Mustang production was stretched all the way to 9/15/00.
