[Classic BULLITT]

Don't know wether it has been published already in other mags, but a german collector recently unearthed one of the 3 Porsche 917 (GULF), that Steve drove in French Kiss (Le Mans) movie.

Many full page pictures in there that show, how it was found after 30 years in the dust. It ill be preserved like it was found (no engine in, as the engine was a rental engine from Porsche for the movie)

I've been looking for a DVD copy of LeMans (my all time favorite race movie)...Does this exist? I cannot find it anywhere. Anyone know where I can purchase a copy?

Sorry No DVD of LeMans yet--just the tape--although Speedvision did play the movie last June in the Original Widescreen version--uncut but with commercials. I hate the commercials in my 'off the air dub" but with the widescrren you do see more of the cars and some of the race sceens look different as you ses more cars on the screen at the same time. Speedvision introduced it with a little piece by Chad McQueen etc. Hopefully they will re-air it this June if Speed Channel doesn't go 24 hr Nascar and actaully shows the entire 24 hrs of LeMans live again. Amazon.com now sells tapes/videos/DVD' in addition to books-they have a service to alert you to new releases. I ordered LeMans on DVD with them-the computer kicks back that it has not been released but the computer keeps my request and will email me if is ever released on DVD-neat feature on Amazon--check it out.\

Le Mans was supposed to be released onto DVD lat last year (I was on the Amazon list for some time), they even had a release date listed, but then something happened, and they dropped the dates and sent me an email that "it was no longer available", although it actaully never became available on DVD that I could tell.

It still shows "not available", but I am positive that in Fall of last year they had a date. Something must have fallen through. :sad: Awesome movie for race scenes.
