Well, I finally got it my new sticker for that infamous left hand shock tower(depends on the direction u are looking Took Bullitt #1676 to the Ford dealer and they installed it in less than an hour. It is definitely better than the original it has a protective film over it so that you can wipe it without any fear of the numbers going wherever numbers goes. The film is a integral part of the decal so I dont know if Ford will send a film to cover this one or not. Probably will send one to cover the existing decals that have not been damaged.

Ps: Its a for sure bet that the dealer will have to put it on! I know that the body shop manager stated that the paperwork said for the dealer to install it.

I guess I'm pretty lucky, I complained to my dealer that I have no serpentine belt sticker. The dealer said it's probably a Bullitt specific sticker. Long story short they ended up sending me my 3rd Hologram. It is now being very carefully preserved in my Bullitt scrap book. And yes the clear overlay is part of the sticker. The one thing I noticed was the hologram in my car reads #01379, the replacement sticker reads #1379, it appears the zero's have been removed.

I guess it depends on how "by the book"
they want to be with the proceedures.

My dealer is "Nazi" like with proceedures
like this. :lol:
No hologram for me since mine is not damaged.
The dealer wanted to inspect my hologram
before ordering the replacement.

I guess I could try other dealers?

Went to my dealer today to have the Hologram ordered for 05094. Took him a copy of the Mark Wilson letter. http://www.bullittclub.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=5750&forum=1 He called Ford at the number on the letter and gave them all of the requested information. They matched my VIN with my sticker number and said they would ship the sticker fedex. I should be able to pick it up from the dealer Wednesday. The dealer also "suggested" I not install the sticker immediately. NO PROBLEM! Could it be this easy??

SUCCESS!! I now have my new Hologram from the dealer. Only took three days. New sticker has clear protective layer pre-installed, but is missing the leading "0". I am now 5094 instead of 05094 and life is good.

He did look at it, but mainly because I needed to show him what it was. My dealership has been great with the small number of problems I've had the first 10K miles. I believe how your treated on the Hologram issue is dependant on the attitude of the dealer. I am lucky enough to have a very good one.
