#3737 has been sitting in the garage for about three weeks while we have been on vacation. It has 3/4 tank of gas and I will not return for another two weeks....should I have my father-in-law (with whom I entrusted my second set of keys) start the car and let it run for a minute or two in the next couple of days? I have heard that deposts can form in the gas tank. It has 89 miles on it, and it is the first tank of gas in the car. What should I do?

Tuff choice. Me personally would probably leave it. I hate starting the engine and then not letting everything warm up. As far as the gas its not like storing the lawnmower for the winter. Besides how long are some of these cars setting on the lots? Longer than a month. I don't think the gas is a big issue.
Now if the inlaw is not used to the clutch and the trans feels like it is netural but really in first and the clutch pad falls off and the..... ohhhh boy, I think I would let it wait for me to get home.

At the Ford dealership I worked at some cars sat for almost a year without even being started up. Not a good idea I admit, but it didn't hurt the vehicles. It just caused a lot of dead batteries. Note: I noticed these cars were never Mustangs, usually the ugly colored Taurus/escort types. :-B
