Thanks Mr and Mrs Tax payers it's time for The Jimmy Ray show to hit the road, it's Aircombat Training in sunny Key West. Thats right due to the Beautiful weather in Key West Jimmy and his Navy friends get to go Fly Flight and Win and of course Drink bunches of Beer and go partying like Jimmy was still 21. I leave Sunday for 2 weeks I think I'll get that Mustang Tatoo on my Butt. Kay will miss me and I'll miss her but a man must make 1 more visit before he retires.
Hopefully I'll have enter net access so I can check up on you all. If I have time with drinking and all.
Thank you for paying your taxes and I promise to get as many Aircrew ready to win air battles for our country as I possibly can. Its the most I can do!
FLY NAVY
I love FULL UP TOMCATS.

Squids must hang to together. It's safer in numbers. Large number of squids.
This trip will be fun I get my own rental Expedition. Room at the BOQ, and lots of Beer. NO Worries!
Except fixing broken Tomcats. These young aircrew are hard on my babies.

Will they be hard on your F-14s while you
are away? BTW, went to JASM school at NAS
Key West while in the Naval Air Reserve out
of NAS JAX. It was a GOOD time...learned
alot too. The maintenance side of the house
is a whole different ball game...I learned
that quick like!

OMG, Will they be hard on them! Yes they are! Them Jet Jockies all think they're Tom Cruise. Thank God I got a New Skipper that believes in not bending the Jet until it can't be fixed ever again. Before this Skipper we would have up to 30 overstresses in a week. The Old Frount office would just say Master chief do your Job when I would Bitch about the seeming uncaring attude of the aircrew. Well I'm frim believer that alumunian will only bend so many times before it don't go back straight. This new skipper believes in taking care of the jets. He say's what good is busted jet if the huns are coming over the hill. Take care of the jet and it will take care of you.
Those words are like a sermon to me. Every time we go past the G limit you really don't know what damage has been done to airframe and systems.
Thank god Grumman Built a work horse for a fighter jet.
Of course I tell the young Pilot if your fixing to hit the ground it's OK to over stress the jet to keep from making a smoking hole.

I totally agree with you Jimmy! In the LAMPS
community there were very few Gs to be pulled
in the Seahawk. Rotor blades, reduction gear
boxes, transmissions, over temping the GE T700-401C, etc., I was paranoid as HELL! I THINK we kept the fixers happy. I know I never tried any hot dog moves in the Seahawk...too freeking scared!

Good to hear you have a CO that likes unbent Tomcats!

PY, I'm glad I'm a fixer, you all flying (ether helos or fixed wings) around the boat pitch black, raining, deck rolling, with a caution light blinking would make me want to stay home in my tree. I may complain about the aircrew But you couldn't pay me the any amount of cash to live my life that way. They are my heros

Ahhh yes Key West!!! Thats a great place, i lived down on Big Pine Key for almost two months. Great place to visit but i wouldn't wanna live there. Too many tourists there. Good bars and great food too. You will go home broke, tatoo'd, and ready for rehab. Have fun and watch out for the gay people there they like to get frisky. :-B
