Because I do about five open track days per year with my 04 GT, I thought I'd ask the experts at MRT about servicing the front wheel bearings.

I learned that all Mustang front wheel bearinigs since 1994 are sealed. So the only way to service them is to replace the hub assembly.

Well! Tell us what happened to cause them to fail.
I wanted to get the new bearings for my 97 and they told me it was the whole hub assembly. About 50 bucks a piece.

about 65,000 daily driven miles is what happened to them.

I had started to get a little road wondering and loose feel I could not live with it. Replaced the Hub's and shortly after struts, control arms (with the cobra versions) urethane bushing everywhere up front. All about 3 weeks before she got totaled:lol:

Anyhow all nice and tight again! ready for another 65,000 or so FUN miles of driving.

Hi David,
My local Ford dealership wants twice that much for hubs on my 04 GT.
