I pulled the Bullitt out of the garage this weekend & washed & waxed it. While I was washing the front bumper, I was trying to see how bad the scrapes were where it had been hit last summer (right front bumper got tagged in the parking lot at work 1 week after we got the car). Well, I couldn't see any of the scuff marks or scrapes in the paint, so I looked closer when I rinsed the car off & sure enough, they were gone. So I called my wife out to look & she concurs, someone either switched bumpers or did a hell of a paint job. The only conclusion we can come to is that when it was at the dealers in October for the shift fork repair, they:
1. Either repaired it out of the godness of their hearts  or
2. They thought they had damaged the bumper & replaced or repired it themselves without telling us.
The car was at the dealers for over 3 weeks, which could be attributed to the extra time for fixing the bumper. I think I'm gonna ask the head tech if he knows anything about it. On the one hand, they did a nice job & I like their service department, but on the other hand, I think it's deceptive not to tell a customer you made repairs without their knowledge, especially if you thought you were responsible for the damage. Still, it's weird ... What are people's thoughts?
