Huh? Burnouts cant come? Thats not fair if somebodys a 'burn-out'. Maybe they had a tough time in college? Or..they coulda been held down 'til they inhaled?

No one wil be free until burnouts are free and accepted! burnouts are people too!
Thank You Will
Come on guys the event of a life time, a large item in the bucket list, don't worry about mileage on the car, worry about mileage on yourself. Use the car for what it was made for, travel, fun, enjoyment, exposure, stories, friendship and most of all being a Bullitthead. Yea us.

Thats over 9100km. Or 5800 miles Vancouver...Chicago. Chino hills and home....damn...anyone driving more miles on their bullitt then that on this trip?
You will have me by about 600 miles. I'm thinking it's about 5200 miles from Fort Worth to Chicago to LA to Fort Worth.

:surprised: Kinda takes my breath away thinking about it.

Nothing like the socialist states to give a person a new perspective on the lives of others...

I will be driving from L.A. to NYC and back. Looks to be about 5800 miles R/T. :)

My goal is to pull a few East Coast Bullittheads to Chicago with me.. where they will either go all the way to Chino Hills or at least join us part of the way.

Another part of my plan (which I haven't heard mentioned elsewhere)... that all Bulllittheads (no matter how much of this adventure they participate in) get their friends to donate some amount "per mile driven" to Boys Republic.

Say you drive 5000 miles and someone donates a nickel per mile, that's a $250 donation to Boys Republic!!!

As Chad said at the recent planning meeting, "This is for the children."

And if you saw the faces of some of those kids this past June as I did, you'd know they deserve us going all out for them!

Yes, Chuck.... and use the trip to help the kids of Boys Republic too! :) :) :)

(See my previous post for my plan to ask for Sponsors Per Mile Driven)

Great idea Steve! Sort of like March of Dimes walk on steroids! If all of our members driving or not donate this can be the biggest year yet for Boys Republic! We will be setting up a donation link soon.

Thank you, Greg! :)

In my mind, this is like the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon... where people would keep bringing Jerry checks from all the local activities in their home towns. Sort of like tributaries of a river... leading eventually to a really big number! :) :) :)

Heck... even those Bullittheads who can't make it for part of the convoy, could stage a local charity drive and raise some "per mile" cash.

Looking forward to helping coordinate this idea with my fellow Bullittheads! :) :) :)

PS Just for fun, here's something cool that happened during one of Jerry's telethons. Enjoy!...

That is the very intent of the Legend Lives Tour and has always been in the plan.

Like our old motto, its about the people/friendships, not the cars....
this event is being planned as, and will be focused on being a charity drive for Boys Republic.
I would think this would be a good place to stay the night before. Charles 736 and I will be in contact with each other. Midwayhotelcenter.com it would be around 5 miles or less from your starting point. Is it safe yes my son and I will be there with our friends mr glock and mr smith. This a nice complex 2 blocks from midway airport, other resturents are only a block away. Check it out.BTW my son is a chicago policemen. Maybe you can get apackage deal from the hotels.
Wherever we stop to gas/eat/stay overnight at, we will undoubtly need more than one facility/hotel for all that are interested in doing this trip/convoy. If it gets over twenty cars, it maybe preferable to break it up into mini groups? The Wessons maybe traveling with us.
Midgeman IF the wessons cant travel maybe Miss Kimber will be there to fill in. Good idea David cant ever be to safe.
Close relative?
