Wow, my own area!!! So loney out here being the only Bullitt owner for all of Europe (so far because an importer has one DHG for sale in London). Hey why don't all of you ship your Bullitts over for a serious European invasion. From the looks of last weekend it seems just as many people over here know about our cars as back home.
Whats hapning squire.......
i used to live in elephant&castle then ashford,middlesex....moved to california in 83......give me an e-mail [email protected]
i purchased a bullitt about a week ago...tasty....dhg sportline spring kit ,bassani x-pipe ,densecharger,...the mrs has a 2001 gt conv also....drives like a bloody french taxi driver....
When I pick up a Brit car mag on occasion, it appears that 'Yank Tanks' are not really held in high regard. What you pay for petrol doesn't help matters either. Are US cars becoming more accepted there?
How's England? The beer still good? I was stationed at RAF Lakenheath for 9 years and visited the market at Cambrigde quite often. I left in Dec 2000, as the wife and I retired, we still have friends in Bury St.Edmunds. Yes the Brits make fun of our "Yank Tanks" but when they go for a ride in one thier eyes light up. I sold my 85 Monte Carlo SS over there and got a damn good price. I got a UK 88 Escort RS man that puppy ran good. The Euro escorts are not like the US versions at all. Well have a pint for me at the Pub.
How about I have 2 pints for you. Yeah the Escort may be a joke back home in the states but man 'o man the "cossie" version of here would put even many a vette to shame. I have a friend who owns two that will do the 1/4 in 12.2!!!!
I believe it. You in the military? How did you get your Bullitt over there? Hey if you have two pints make them Murhpys or Genniss "Porkchop in every pint... no need stop drinkin to eat" Hey have a good one talk to you again soon.
Yeah, that would be cool. Your gonna get me in trouble. After we chatted in the BX I came home and ordered the steeda tri-ax and a densecharger. I'm also looking at an exhaust and after that a chip. It's a good thing she is all for her car being fast.
Greetings roushraven99, that is so cool B-Man gave you your own "area"! Hope the Air Force is treating you well! Thanks for the post and reply at "Bullitt Veterans Sound Off!" You have a very interesting job, dude!
Aim High (actually, isn't it "Let's Roll" now after 9-11?) The last cell phone words from one of the brave ones before attempting to disable the terrorists?
Yeah but it's loney over here cause I'm the only one driving my Bullitt. There were at least two sold to British buyers through a London importer but they will probably end up encased in a plastic bubble. Anyway, I'm getting stationed back in the US so looks like I'll have to abandon my "Bullitt" post with no one to relieve me.
I'm looking into moving back to The Netherlands and I will not leave the Bullitt behind. Not sure when this will happen but if the economy keeps getting better it will be sooner than later.
Can't wait to post a new record trans-Germany time! We used to have a competition in my Dutch office to see who could make it across Germany to the Czech Republic in the least time.. b/c who would want to stop in Germany?
Hmmm... $5.00/gal maybe the Bullitt will be my garage queen and I will have to find another daily driver..
