These are a couple I took coming onto the straight from Turn 9 back in May.I had my camera ISO set at 200 Should have left it at 100. Did get a lot of good shots. Speed setting was good. And I should have left my excelerator pumps alone, Jet change was good though. Live and learn. I think coming out of 4 and 5 would be a good spot and coming out of 9 into the straights would also be a good place.
That sounds good Tom, perhaps while at SEMA I'll ask some vendors for a group buy discountPerhaps we can look in to a group buy for the new helmets ? Anyone have any contacts ?
Was this at a different time than the driver's meeting? I wasn't there, but Mike said his understanding was that SA2010 would still be acceptable. I was going to get Shari a helmet but I'll wait now until I'm sure.May is next event, However they(the club) is requiring us to have SA 2015 rated helmets(I just bought my 2000) The reason is Insurance, I talked to them they agree our rated helmets are safe but they keep the insurance low with updated things like this, Most clubs(track day clubs) you can use MC helmets and you self tech...you also get a scary day at times as you have all sorts on track. Cobra Porsche and real race groups all follow the actual race rules, So we have till May to get SA 2015 helmets. We stayed till 1:30 Sunday, I ran the first 2 groups and did good, I only pulled out due to fuel and attempt to same my tires for next time. May lets all do a few laps bunched up, I'm not that fast but I can get you guys on a bit faster line, I actually did look down going into turn one at brake marker I was at 135, faster cars are at 140 145, remember the slowest guy is still only seconds from the fastest. Everyone drove great and the Cobra Club likes that we are all squared away no issue group. They are very happy we are there. Great Job!!!! Note if you want to see some real wild stuff and very historic you MUST see VARA Nov 7-8...it is worth the drive..some of our group races this too.
