Shortly after I made the vid (about 30 minutes ago), the shoe shine applicator came unglued...specifically the hard plastic base unit that holds the sponge...so I have glued it and am waiting for the glue to dry (24 hours)...so no demo at this time. I'll pass on the opportunity for a possible lot boy job but thanks for the most kind offer, Chris.

I just buy the Eagle 1 tire gel applicators... work great! I like the Mequiars tire gel on my Bullitt (or dark cars) but that stuff slings off and looks kinda bad on light colored cars. Best stuff I've used though for looking good and lasting.

I use Griots Garage tire dressing and use their sponges for applying said product. Have had very good results, not the greasy shiney look

So do we have to wait for you to go through the shoe goop before ordering? If so, what's the backorder log look like? Also, will the production models have the upgraded glue package?

I purchased a similar device at my local auto parts retailer. My sponge also came unglued at which time my knuckles became extremely familiar with the pavement causing small red droplets of liquid which should stay inside the skin. After cussing I believe that I launched both the plastic casing as well as the sponge. Saving either of them never crossed my mind but glue may have done the trick allowing for future gel applications.

I had one that had the plastic casing/handle once. It was a POS. The Eagle 1 applicators are MUCH better.

I think you spent more time on one tire than I do my entire car. I bought some applicator at Big Lots a few years ago, but I didn't think I would like it, so it sat in the garage getting dusty. Then I tried it. It works great! I'll try to post a pic tonight. It doesn't look like that one though.

These detailing units have the SAME container that the KIWI shoe wipe unit does. The sponges are removable regarding the detailing units while the sponge in the KIWI shoe wipe unit is not.

El Presidente'...I believe that they may already be familiar with my nuttiness...in fact, when I was hired in 2001, I was administered a battery of psychological tests and I passed with flying (no pun) colors...but they did state I was 'somewhat' nutty.
