Does anyone have an idea as to what the Bullitts top speed is rated for 4th and 5th gears? I have ran mine up to 136 mph in 4th
gear while continuing to pick up speed.

while i know i will get flamed to high holy heaven i will mention that the bullitt or any mustang sohc will hit around 148-152. U will not go any faster. U will be right at redline in 4th gear. With a 3.27 rearend the car just doesn't have the power to overcome the drag, hence drag limited, to around 150. Again, the car will not pull 5th gear in stock form. If u have gone faster u either have mods or your speedo is off. <zips up trusty nomex flamesuit>

Before someone flames 99svt32v, a Ford engineer I know mentioned this very same thing to me.

Although 152 is pretty damned fast as far as I am concerned. :wink:

thanks bullitt. I couldn't do more than that stock either. And imho if u are doing that on a public highway u are nuts anyway.
