Anyone having any problems or quirks with their Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)?

Mine (54,800 miles) *might* be starting to act quirky. At times, the bullitt won't idle high enough, and just stalls out. I have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it going. This only seems to happen at start-up. A couple of times, it has corrected itself, and eventually idled normally.

At other times, I've given up, and driven my Ranger that day. I definitely remember several years ago, my 87 GT had a quirky TPS. It would arbitrarily start zooming the rpm up quite a bit while at idle. Very quirky, but upon replacing it, the 87 idled fine.

I'm wondering if the 01 TPS is as quirky or as fallible as the 87.

Or am I just assuming my idle problems are the TPS?

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
