Well Went and picked up 5 quarts for Mobil 1 5W20 motor oil a Motorcraft filter and some NGK spark plugs for the Bullitt. so tomorrow will get some service done on the B. The mechanic is off tomorrow for the highland games so I will be flying solo. then sunday we load up the 70 440 charger and take it over to Mopar Charlies for some fine tuning and assembly. My Brother and I have been to busy to work on his stuff so it is being farmed out to another shop..

Well I have had some mixed emotions yesterday. Slimmer went to another shop to be finished. We went over to pick it up from a guy who came recommended but was not making any progress, not to mention getting water in the interior :frown: so loaded it up on the trailer and towed over to a place over by TimSpeed to get done. this guy specializes in Mopar, I think that means he rode the short bus, j/k. Hopefully it will be finished and my brother will be happy with it, if not it may end up on Ebay.

as for here at Traenkner Performance here is more than likely our next project. it has been sitting for a while but will be brought back to life for the wife to drive topless on the weekends...

Well the Delivery truck dropped off some new shocks and struts on the porch for the Bullitt. so maybe this weekend I will get them installed. Saturday morning I will have to be at my other job having a meeting with my children there and getting them in line. but hopefully will have the afternoon free. then need to order some front hubs and a fuel pump for the 86 convertible. The mechanic is too busy with her Odyssey of the mind group to help right now but hopefully soon she can free up some time.

New shocks, struts, and hub assembly install.

Well Today spent some time out in the 80 degree weather. got the Bullitt up in the air and installed new rear shocks. ( by the way the old shock on passenger side compressed and stayed there). Then installed new front Struts and while I was there installed new hub bearing assemblies on both sides. No one else showed up at the shop today something about it's Sunday. Had an offer from the guys over at TimSpeed to come over and he would help, but I had plenty of time. the fun part was on the rear shocks getting the new rubber isolators to work with the shock tower brace. I did have to do some modifications but its in there. test drove the B and we are both much happier with the KYB shocks and struts. much better then the Gabriel's that came off. Sorry I didn't take more pics but my hands were dirty. here are the ones I took...

now time to shower watch some Hockey and meet up with some other Bullittheads at a local car cruise.

nice work over that at Traenkner Performance!!! Now you got experience new shock bushings with the super heavy duty shock brace. we had to use something much thinner to get it on the NightSnake. Glad all went well and I am sure the car feels like a new car now!!!!!!!!!!!

Car feels great... little scary when you have a torque wrench at 230lbs and waiting for wither the click or a snap.
Ended up cutting the upper rubber isolator in half to get it to work with the shock brace. next will be the lower ball joints, and the axle dampeners.

Well with the extra light at the end of the day I took the time to install the new KYB quad shocks to go with the new KYB shocks and struts all around on the Bullitt. Ten took it out for a spin and love the difference felt in the car. The Cheap Shocks that came out were totally shot.

this weekend back on the 70 Charger and finishing up some of the little things with it...

yes the Charger is Back. he got the Transmission rebuilt and the Rear Differential completely redone. also they went back to the original disc in front and drum in rear brakes. Car runs very strong now. we need to figure out why when the car is shut off the fuel drains out of the filter back into the tank. and install the inner fenders on the front and some electrical work. right now I think he has no brake lights... so we have some little things to finish up. plus it needs some Croftgate to get that shine going. I wish I was going to Sebring this weekend to watch the race but it will be nice to hang out with my brother for the day. by the way with the mechanic on spring break they came over to Tamp with me and while I was working went over and saw Winter and Hope over in Clearwater. a very cool place...
