I installed the Steeda Tri-Ax shifter last night. The throws and precision are much improved. The shifter does transmit a lot of noise. The shift lever seems to resonate the transmission noises like a tuning fork. I think I will try installing 2 thin nylon washers between the lever and the shifter to see if that will dampen that tuning forks effect.

Overall though, I do recommend the shifter.

fordbullitt mine's in th email expect in a day or two. Can a novice install? Sounded like getting the molding of might be the tricky part. From pictures on Stangnet once exposed looks pretty simple. What's your take. thanks.

I put mine in the lower position and works fine, no interference.

A novice can install this pretty easily. I wound up jacking up the car so I could use a hammer and punch to break loose, the stock shifter from the trans housing as mine was really glued on tight. Otherwise, it's a pretty simple install.

I set the shift handle on the high position. Being short armed and thinking of my seating position when I'll be strapped in with a 4 point harness, I opted for the taller setup.
