It's very easy. 45 minutes tops for a first timer.

sweet! I was at the KC Auto Show this weekend and they had a Rousch 360R. The shifter in that thing was so cool! Very short thow. I want my Bullitt to feel like that.

Then you're in for a treat. The new Roush shifter is the same as the Tri-Ax. It was made for Roush by Steeda.

I have one question, how smooth is it? On a warm day, the stock shifter shifts like butter (I got a new tranny 1/02). I like the stock feel on a good day, but am curious.

Well, for only $169 that seems like an awesome mod! I really like the idea of a short throw, the stock throw is SOOOO freakin' long...even compared to the 1980 VW diesel Rabbit that was my first car! So most of the noise is where the shifter handle meets the shifter? That seems like a simple fix. Great instructions and photos btw. I'll most likely be using them.

The noise they transmit has never bothered me. It's not that loud.
