I was not in special forces while in the
Navy. I do know that the Navy's special
forces groups are the SEALS and UDT.
(they may have consolidated the two, I
do not know)

What are the titles of the other services
special forces?

I know that the USMC has Recon...
what about the other services?

Very interested!

These heroes are doing some very clandestine
stuff over in ragheadville!

68 Charger R/T metal body models. Unfortunately
the hub caps don't come off the Charger.

Air Force has: Pararescue and Combat Controllers. I was going into Pararescue, but at last minute decided to stay at current job. A knuckle dragging crew chief on heavy bombers!!

go to the jsoc link and the nightstalkers. The movie BlackHawk Down will give a good account of what our SpecOps folks are about. The book is a must read.

Thanx, this is great!
I am embarassed that I was a "cold war kid"
and don't know jack about our special
forces...
maybe that's how it's supposed to be!
Had a secret security clearance but that was
on a "need to know" basis concerning Soviet
submarines. Since that's all I did, makes
sense that's the only thing I was briefed
on before a mission.

Saw the Seals at BUDS training at the amphib.
base in San Diego! Holy s--t! Those guys were
hauling telephone poles down the beach!
Zodiacs on their heads! I have heard it got
much worse during Hell Week! (way worse)
Big time attrition rate!

Hats Off to those shipmates!

Well like you said Marine Corps has Force Marine Recon. Army has Special Forces Groups with a number representing what part of the world they specialize in! Like Special Forces 5th Group work in the Middle East and I think 7th Group is like South America Jungle type stuff. We flew some of Seal Team 8 on a live fire excercise in Kuwait one time on our Blackhawks. It was fun working with them! All Spec OPs Rule!!!!
