I've heard that leaving the silencer off will soak the K&N when it rains. Is that a big deal? It does look like water coming in the passenger side of the hood/fender could get it wet.

If you choose not to I would doubt it would get wet way up there. Not to mention, the oil repels moisture so it's probably not an issue.

I should have shown you mine, it is completely unprotected from the bottom. It's only 6 inches away from my front tire and the plastic has been somewhat cut away for clearance.

You haven't had any problem in the rain have you Tim? BTW I decided on 3.73s Gonna call Chris today.

Puddles are kinda scary. I avoid them if I can.
