Here's some VIN info for anyone who's interested. The 1 is country of origin (US), the F manufacturer (Ford), the A vehicle type (passenger car), F restraint system (seat belts with air bags), the P is make (Ford), the 42 line/series/body type (GT), the X is engine (4.6 litre single overhead cam), 9th digit is the check digit, 10th digit is production year 1 = 2001. The remaining numbers are production number. Just thought I'd throw in my two cents worth of meaningless info. Again, there is nothing in the VIN that designates it as a Bullitt. Ford knows which VIN's were produced as Bullitts.

I always wondered what they meant. Thanks for the info.
For the 2019-20 models, there actually is a designation in the VIN that indicates it is a Bullitt. The body code is P8K for left-hand drive and P8V for right-hand drive. These codes take up positions 5-8 in the string. The information posted above is for the 2001 models.
