Does anyone know what the 10th digit and the last 5 digits represent in the new Bullitt VIN?
Was thinking the letters went like this by model year -Thanks. I found in another article that Ford skips the "I" in the alphabet and is the reason my VIN and all 2019's have a "K" in the 10th character/year of the vehicle.
Actually:Was thinking the letters went like this by model year -
2010 - A
2011 - B
2012 - C
2013 - D
2014 - E
2015 - G
2016 - H
2017 - I
2018 - J
2019 - K
No, like the current 2016+ GT350s, it will be very rare if the last four digits of the VIN matches the car's serial number. Apparently matching the VINs & Serial Numbers was only done for the 2015 GT350s. I don't know if Ford committed to doing this for the Bullitts.Yes you are correct. Before understanding the missing I, thought the K in my VIN was a dealer screwed up! Also, are the last 5 numbers, SEQUENTIAL UNIT NUMBER, the build number of my Bullitt?
I misunderstood the question. It is unlikely as you say, VIN will match Bullit car number. Often cars are built based on options, colour, time to build etc. My bad. What I meant was car #200480 would be 480 out of the total production. No, like the current 2016+ GT350s, it will be very rare if the last four digits of the VIN matches the car's serial number. It is also very rare to have sequential VINs to be built right after each other. The VINs are assigned very early in the production process and actual vehicle builds are assigned, among other things, based on line balance and projected hourly rates of a vehicle's models. So the actual vehicle production will have non-sequential VINs going down the assembly line; this is true for any vehicle production line. A numerically higher VIN, in a lot of cases, could be built before a numerically lower VIN.
I need to go back to school to learn my alphabetActually:

The letter 'I' is not used, nor is the letter 'O', the number '0' or the letter 'Q'.
Somewhere on Mustang6g a few weeks back someone confirmed the Bullitts will have specific VINs that are much "later" than a standard VIN. Seems like it started with x50001 or something like that. All Bullitts would be put in that sequence with no interruptions from other Mustangs and vice versaI'm pretty sure VIN and the chassis number will match up. This is why there's a separate VIN sequence for Bullitt. Other 2019s will be mixed in, but they should go down in order from what I've gathered. I'll confirm in a couple weeks when I receive my car.
That seems right. From what I've seen so far, they will all be 1FA6P8K0xK55xxxxx.Somewhere on Mustang6g a few weeks back someone confirmed the Bullitts will have specific VINs that are much "later" than a standard VIN. Seems like it started with x50001 or something like that...
Looking at my Bullitt's Cert Label, the bottom date, 2nd through 9th digits matches the car's build date. So yes, the Build Date is identified in the 13th digit string of numbers located on the bottom line of the Cert Label.Which date on the door jam label is the Build Date?
There’s a date near the top (left) and then one on the very bottom.
My top date simply reads DATE: 10/18
Bottom date is 1201810174412 so 10/17/18 ?
The car landed at the dealer on 11/8/18 so three weeks from build to delivery.
