I stayed up and watched the show and the Mustang got 2 sec's of time for getting 36% of the vote compared to 2nd place 35% Corvette.... It kind've pi$$ed me off because the show did about 5- 10 min. segments on each choice, all but completely left out the Mustang.... I wonder how many Corvettes have sold compared to the mustang? What 200,000 first year for the mustang compared to 300 for the vette.... I think the Mustang was much more important to America as an Icon than the Vette....

It's a tough poll. The Vette and the Mustang really don't compete head-to-head and the poll asked which one had the most impact across the board. Even being partial to the Mustang, anyone that looks at the true meaning of the poll would have to choose the Mustang over the Vette. The Vette has always been much more of a niche vehicle due to its high cost. The Vette did not create a segment. It was Chevy's answer to European sports cars. The Mustang created the classification of "Pony Car" and spawned a whole new generation of cars. If not for the Mustang, we may never have had the Camaro, Firebird, Barracuda, AMX, etc....

This is not a knock of the Vette. If I could afford a ZO6, one would be in my garage today.

It's rigged I voted 15 times and didn't change the percentages at all..... I'm OFFENDED by the Corvettte/Chevy lovers on the history channel, they're cheating beater than me.... I thought at least my cheating would narrow the gap.... BUT NO..... It's rigged, it's rigged!!!!! I will never watch the Hitler channel again.....
