I just thought I'd share a few pics of how I spent my Saturday afternoon.

My '67 Fastback has been out of commission since spring, and me & dad finally got around to fixing it this week...damn Holley carbs!! It has a vintage Autolite on it now.

As you can see here, my '67 has been gathering a lot of dust in the past few months. Agh!

Anyway...it's all cleaned up now, and I took care of #3401 at the same time...I've been eagerly awaiting the chance to make pics of my "Then & now" Bullitts.

Although the '67 was a project of mine from the 80's, it's amazing how there are a lot of similarities between it and my '01 Bullitt...

The '67 has:

4-wheel disc brakes (robbed from a 70's era Merc)

Lowered suspension

Stiffer springs

large (front) sway bar

Loud exhaust

I think Ford had me in mind when they designed the 2001 Bullitt...we had the same taste in mods.

You have got one heck of a great collection. I am curious...Is the paint color on the 67 a match with the 2001 or are they just real close?

There is a guy in my neighborhood with a 68 GTA painted Black. I stop to look at his car ocasionally and he never even gives my Bullitt a look. I don't think he even knows what it is. He is just into the older cars (i guess). I would love to see his GTA painted DHG but that's his business. Who knows maybe one day he will part with it. I just got through selling a 1970 Chevelle SS. I got tired of the relentless persuit of perfection with having a 32 year old car.

Back to the point, your combo looks great together.

Hey, Scott: Nice Rides.

Hey, TSKATZ: Here's what a DHG (Ok, well, close enough) GTA looks like.

You can see more pics. at Pics

PS: I think they had my tastes in mind when designing the bullitt too... The '67 was a project from the early/mid 90's, rebuilt from the ground up, the way we (father and I) wanted. Note the similarities.

Scott, have I told you today that I hate you  j/k man you have 2 great cars.

I just bought a 69 Mach 1 today, but it is in bad shape and will require a bunch of work on my part. I plan on painting it DHG when I am ready for paint.

I'm glad ya'll liked the pics.

tskatz, my '67 is Dark Moss Green...it's a '67 Ford color. It's a few shades lighter than DHG. I have to admit I like the DHG more!

I have a set of GTA emblems somewhere, but I guess I'm never going to install them along with the side stripes...that was the original plan.

WERM, All I can say is great minds think alike! Very nice convertible!!!

Hawk1340, I originally wanted a '69 mach 1...that was the year I was born. Ended up with the '67...dad gave it to me. He used to rebuild old Mustangs back in the 80's.

The '67 Fastback will go up for sale eventually. Whoever buys it needs to install a 4-speed in it...it already has the right gear in it.

Dad recently gave me a '67 hardtop that has been (and still is) in storage since 1980 or so. It's a factory 289 4-barrel 4-speed car. It has/had dealer-installed Shelby 10 spoke wheels, sway bar and traction bars.

The 10 spokes are gone, but the rest of the car is there. It's not DMG, it's that weird light green that was available in both 67 and 68.
