I clay barred my car and did all the right stuff but it wasn't until later that I noticed really bad water spots under the trunk lid. They're on the rear bumper but they're hidden (mostly) by the trunk lid when it is closed. Will clay bar remove them or is there some other product that will so the job? Thanks in advance for the input, Cheers, Tony

Tony, ditto on the 3M Swirl Mark Remover for
Dark Finishes. Has worked wonders on many
Mustangs I have detailed at the local resto/
speed shop. Good luck! Let us know
what pans out.

Collin

helpful hint:
after washing your car, lift hood and trunk lid, dry completly. If you have an air compressor and can blast the wheels and other tight spots out, it will help dry those areas.

Thanks 01GTCoupe, PY, and BullittBro1! I will give the 3M Swirl Mark Remover a try. I think the marks are from when the car was shipped or something. They're definitely not from water around here. The good news is you can't really see them because they're under the trunk lid but "I" know they are there. Hey, BullittBro1, I see you made your decision on which shifter to get! How do you like the Pro 5.0? I have the Tri-ax and I really love the short throw but with the Schroth harness cinched up tight it's a long reach to the ball. I ordered an MGW handle but it hasn't arrived yet. I'm really looking forward to being able to bring the ball closer to me and still having that short throw! Now if only the damn thing wouldn't grind!!! Cheers, Tony

What about the etching in the glass from water spots? Is this permanent? My '95 GT that I traded for #3618 had terrible blemishes in the glass and the other day I noticed the Bullitt was already getting the same way. It's a daily driver, so I may have to live with it...
