I've got a question for everyone that had their headlamps changed, did Ford replace them with the clear or tinted lenses? My dealer tried to replace mine with the clear GT lenses and I told them no way. I said I was just going to wait until Ford fixed the fogging problem and that I wanted the tinted lenses that came with the car. So have the tinted lenses been officially fixed?

It is my understanding that all 2001+ headlamps are the same--they arent tinted--but that reflector is different--and it is partly black and only the back part of the reflector is chromed.

I got my headlamps replaced under warranty on 111401 and they are beautiful. They are the revised headlamps. The dealer charged Ford more than 520 dollars to do this. It took the service department less than 45 minutes to do it.

All 99-00 Mustangs have clear lenses, all 01-02 Mustangs have the "tinted" ones. Mine are spotted and will be replaced by the dealer soon.

Thanks for the part numbers!

When I first got my BULLITT. Opened the hood the gaze at the engine and noticed the crappy construction on the headlamps. When detailing and waxing the car before the winter really hits us, I noticed waterspots inside the headlamps...I should've expected this. I just took it to FORD for synthetic and asked them "why are there waterspots in the headlamps". They looked at it and replaced the headlamps. I opened the hood to take a look at the new headlamps and woww what a difference in quality, these lamps were constructed so much better. McCarville FORD seem to be pretty reliable.

take it easy!!!!!see ya
