I've now decided against 10.5's because I like to be able to rotate tires. Thinking of 17x9 polished Bullitts. What's the best size tire "safely" to run? Thinking 255/40/17, or 275/40/17. I already have brand new 255's so if the 9" wheel won't stretch them out too much I'd like to go that route.

I run 275/40R17 Kumho's all way round with no problem at all. I like the wider stance myself. The 255's shouldn't be a problem.

Do you have any pics of the car with this setup? I'm assuming your sig pic is a different set? I may just keep the one's I have now as a winter set and go with the chrome or polished set with 275's in spring/summer.

hey Doc, do you have any problems on the front with the 275's rubbing on the track?

Well. I just installed Wheel Replicas 17 x 9's front and back on Monday and went with 255-45 17's all the way around. A slightly taller tire, but I'm old school and like the wheel well full of tire. Looks great and rides great (sorry, no pic's, I dont have a digital camera, and don't know how to upload photos). I will be able to rotate the tires with this set up. I read where a couple of other Bullitts used this size tire as well.
