I'm hoping to have new Bullitt wheels and tires on order by the end of the weekend. I'm looking for opinions on what to buy. I'm listing my preference (at this minute in time) for each item first.

Item 1 - Color (I change my mind by the minute)
Anthracite or charcoal
Black

Item 2 - Size
18x9 F & 18x10 R
18 x 9 F/R

Item 3 - Tire Sizes
Front 265-35-18
Front 245-40-18
Rear 295-35-18 (if 10")
Rear 285-35-18 (9" or 10")

Item 4 - Tire Brand
295-35-18 Firestone Wide Oval & 265-35-18 Bridgeston 960AS
295-35-18 & 265-35-18 Toyo T1R
285-35-18 & 265-35-18 Nitto 555
285-35-18 & 265-35-18 Falken 452
(245-40 can replace 265-35)

Chime in and express you opinion.

Thanks.

- is rotating the tires a big deal for you? if not, def get the 18x10 for the rear. really makes the car look good.
- 265/35 and 295/35 is a really combo for the street. not too big, but looks really tough
- i went with the bfg kdw2's. i dont have any experience with the tires you listed.

I just purchased 17 x 9 anthacite Bullitt wheels from American Muscle (tried MRT, but they were out of stock). I want to be able to rotate, and I like the look better than the 10 or 10-1/2" wide rear wheels (no offense to anyone). I saw a Bullitt with 9's on front and back and loved the look. I still have to decide on tires.

That's what makes it a tough decision. I think Barnaby's car is great looking with black 18 x 9 with 275-18 and 265-18 tires (he has since gone to 10 in back with 295's). I like the 10's just as well. Bullitt3246's car is verry nice as well. I'm not worried abouy rotating the tires.

I would go with the anthrice 18x9F 18x10s rear. A 265/35-275/35 front and at least a 295/35 rear. I have Toyo T1s tires 275/35/18s F and 295/35/18s rear. The T1Rs are suppose to be an improvement over my tires and I have been happy with them. If I could change anything I would go with a little wider tire in the rear (305/35?).

If you get bigger than 295-35-18 they are mega bucks. I'm going to be pretty tight with the cash based on everything else I'm trying to do.

How much road noise with the Toyos? I'm really unhappy with my current tires. They are worn so they are going to have some noise but they've been real noisy from day one. On the highway the noise is worse than any exhaust drone. The tires I've listed are highly rated on Tire Rack (for what that's worth) and seem to be less noisy. I would much rather here the exhaust.

I agree anthracite 18X9\10 265\295 I have no experience with tire companies. I also like black bullit wheels on DHG's, but I would only get them if the anthracites were sold out.

To give you an idea of sizes and tires... I have Anthracite FR500 wheels: 18X9 front with 265's and 18X10 rear with 295's. The tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3. My car is also lowered with H&R Race Springs. No tire rub at all, great ride, and great handling.

I have to agree with my fellow Bullittheads running 18x9 / 18x10 with 265/35/18 and 295/35/18. I went with the BFG KDW2's and absolutely love em. Good luck!

I also like the sound of the 18x9f and 18x10r. It will give it a great stance. As far as the tire choice, I am also unfamiliar with your list. But I have BF Goodrich G-Force KDWS, and they are great. And as far as the color choice, that's tough. Black or Anthracite, either one is good.

Hey guys, my mom is ordering tires today for her Bullitt. It too will be wearing 18X9 front and 18X10 rear. I've done a number of searches here and everyone always recommends the 265-35-18 for the front which confuses me a little. The overall diameter of the 295-35-18 is 26.1", and the 265-35-18 is only 25.3". Is there a reason that no one runs the 255-35-18 that has an overall diameter of 26" even? This is the tire size I recommended to her to run. Is there any reason to go with the 265-35 over the 255-35 other than gaining a little width? I'm surprised that the near 1" difference in height doesn't bother anyone based on looks and I'm surprised that it doesn't upset the ABS. She will be running BFG KDW BTW.

I haven't priced them, but the 18" tires are much more expensive. Don't know if that is a factor. I was going to say go with the 17's, but that Cobra above with the 18's looks pretty tight and the F1's look very aggressive...

Like B'736 said, the reason may be the 255/35/18 is a 25" tire not a 26". 255/40/18 is the 26" one.
