My TOB is out and I need it replaced. I have a Spec clutch and was thinking about getting a Ford or even a Centerforce TOB for it. Can anyone tell me if one of these are a bad idea to use with a Spec clutch?

I'm curious if one of these would be better than the Spec TOB I have that failed.

I'm not sure about the 3650, but I used a stock Ford piece from 50Resto on my fox body T5 with a Centerforce DF with no problems at all. Held up very well and I beat on that car like nobody's business. They are not hard to install either. While you're in there, be sure to check your rear main seal, input shaft, and shift fork too.

everyone I knows recommends using a Ford TOB bearing as they are more beefy than most all aftermarket. I have seen a spec one for a T5 and it's half plastic.

Does anyone know the Ford part #? GEF racing has one (M-7548-A) advertised for 79-2004 Mustangs. However, I think I remember seeing one specifically for our Tremec 3650.
