Noticed the Jaguar #3 car,in Trans Am tune,is really running a Ford NASCAR type 358 V-8,with carb. Yeah I know Jag is Ford, but where is all that high tech Overhead Cam technology on the race track??? Race on Sunday...Sell on Monday....say what?

TransAm banned -any- cool technology back in 1988 when Audi spanked with the 5cyl turbo AWD stock chassis sedan.

After that, TA was an American V8, front engined, rear drive coupe. The most exotic car out there is the Qvale Mangusta (Now an MG).

Last year, SCCA pushed to get BMW, Audi, Toyota to run.

Check out the Viper TA cars... V8s, not V10s.

Rules.

See that is what's wrong with ALL PROFESSIONAL RACING today. It doesn't represent what is available to the consumer. Not like the old days when the racing engine had to be available in showroom, detuned form, before it hit the track. If this was the case in the 60s,there would have been no Street Hemis, winged Daytona Chargers,Boss 302 Mustangs,Camaro Z/28,Boss 429s, and on and on. Now all we have is a few limited edition hyper-performance cars, few people can afford!
