Quick question, did you need to use the MILs?

I'm not sure what the MIL does, but I know I didn't have to get one. Fit was perfect with the Magnaflow, as well, no leaks.

How does is sound?...
You're asking for another subjective answer. What sounds great to some of us may sound like S*&t to others. What do you like? Do you know what frequencies you enjoy listening to? The durations of those frequencies before you start finding them objectionable? Find a car that you Really, Really, REALLY like the sound of and emulate it. SIMPLE. Don't expect the highest power output if your "SOUND" doesn't quite get it. The two can not be directly compared. GEE WHIZ GOLLY DARN PEOPLE...Can we get a little bit REAL about all of this? Our individual GOALS are what this is all about and we cannot rely upon the goals/experiences on others to lead us down the path that we ourselves wish to travel.

My apologies upfront if this is taken offensively. It is not meant that way. What I am really trying to say is that too many of us set our own goals based upon the accomplishments of others. This is a self-defeating attitude and in an of itself limits our own accomplishments. Go for it...try those things that are different and have not been proven. Advance our hobby to higher level. Let me see you make 2 horsepower per cubic inch in a naturally aspirated application. Read between the lines...not just the "lines". Good luck and happy horsepower and torque hunting. May the sound be with you!

I just wanted to know what people thought of the sound, seeing as I've never heard one in person with an X.

I plan to get a catted X or H, knowing the H is supposed to sound more like a muscle car, but the X is supposed to have a little more power. Trying to decide what I really want...

But based by your assesment, I shouldn't ask anyones opinion before spending $400? In an open forum?
I should instead go into my garage, ignore all the knowledge and experiences of others from which to build on and create a 2HP per CI superstang? Why? Because we cannot rely upon the goals/experiences on others to lead us down the path that we ourselves wish to travel. Riiighhtt. Why don't you go do that, and the rest of us here will collectively work on our 'super stangs'.

I leave you with the following quote, where Newton refers to Galileo and others:

"If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants"
Sir Isaac Newton, cited in The Oxford Dictionary of Quotations
