Looking to buy a set of 17x9/10.5 anthracite DD wheels- if anyone has any or knows of any please let me know. I am still debating the switch, so if anybody has some insight on that feel free to ad your 2 cents as well.

Thanks,

Vince

Very popular mod.....I suggest a company out of Fla called "OE Wheels." They work exclusively though ebay but offer great pricing and quality. I've had both the "Wheel Replicas" that AM sells and my new ones from OE and they are 10x better quality.
18x9 and 18x10dd bullitts. there from late model resto. best thing i have gotten for my car and probly will be the best thing i ever got

I have the anthracite American Racing 'Shelby Edition' Torq Thrust M wheels (17x9 / 17x10.5). Very nice wheels. A little more $$ than the replicas though. A great appearance mod IMO.
I like the OE wheels but the set on my car the clear coat started peeling on them and i have contacted oe wheels several times for exchange and they just keep telling me someone else will get back to me.... been six months still waiting for someone to get back with me......LOL.....
I am looking at the same setup for the B....17x9 and 17x10.5 in Antracite. Is there any difference (same manufacturer) between the wheels sold by American Muscle and Late Model restoration?
Thanks,
Bruce
just took delivery of some from AM, they look great and were priced right. I hope they hold up...time will tell I guess. The color is a little different that the stock bullitts' and the polished lip is more shiny. Maybe that makes the silver color look different. Overall I am happy with the purchase. They look great on the car!

Are your friends front tires directional?

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.
those that have directional tires will notice

Handles great in reverse when raining though. :D
D'oh !
Those look like the Vredestein Sessanta tires. They have a funky looking tread. Never knew anyone that has them. I considered them but wasn't real sure I liked the look of the tread. To me, tires must be a combination of looks and performance.
GSD3's tread is similar, looks good and works
LATE MODEL RESTO 18X9-18X10 bullitt replicas , these r the wheels i went with after much debate.Narrow lip on the front and deepdish on the rear.American Muscle only sells the deepdish front and rear,so i decided to order from latemodel resto instead.I dont think there is a better looking wheel combo for our cars,in my humble opinion.

That's what I went with as well. See sig.
One question for those who purchased their wheels from Latemodel Restoration:

Were you able to change the center cap to something else? I was told it was not changeable.

Thanks.

They are not interchangable with the stock center cap, but they do make center caps that fit these wheels. If I remember correctly, the stock center cap is 2 3/4" in diameter and the ones on the LRS wheels are 2 5/8". Believe me, I tried to put my stock ones in, but that was a no go. I'll be picking up a set of the ones for these wheels before too long.
