now there's the main reason I hate rooting for the Yankees, who are really my second favorite team! Why do you have to be nasty about your win? You played great baseball, you deserve to go back to the world series, so why not enjoy that instead of making fun of a great team

I am a yankee's ( ex newyorker and all)
and a mariners fan ( they are a damn good club and have damn good fans)...hard tobelive but true... I was happy for the match up but had hoped it would go to game 7 and let the chips fall where they may..
and while I am glad the yankees won, I am not at all gloating.... baseball is at its best when you are happy ypour team played well enuf to advance not gloat... so I say Congratulations to the MARINERS for a hell of a year... see u next year same time same place.. and to the YANKEES..... god bless u all ,now win the series witharizona

I am glad that the yanks won, even though I truely cannot stand them.... I am a die hard O's fan even though they really havevnt done a thing sence that damn kid stole what would have been an out and turned it into a home run to what i believe coasting the O's A shot at the series.... FWIW, I *was* a Braves fan, until they kept choking and I was getting sick of one great season after another only to watch someone else walk away with the rings. After about '97 I had pretty much given up on them; Grown outright tired of them, actually. The [email protected] Yankees are having the same effect on me. I'd like to see somebody else in the post season for once :smile: And to all the M's fans...I was pulling for the M's all year (despite everybody on the team jumping ship during the past few seasons...). I guess now you all know what the '06 Cubs fans felt when they didn't win it all after a record setting season... Guess there's always next season... Oh and Go D-Backs! :wink:

schilling and johnson are 2 of the best , no doubt but we will se how the yankee hitters do against them.... mussina can hold his own with the diamonback hitters I think... clements , and pettite seem to come thru in october/playoffs... either way should be a whale of a series... the best team the n.l. has fielded in the last 10 years or more..

what a game..... what a series... a baseball fan couldn't ask for more right now... and jeter = mr. november? the h.r. was great but i think he still needs to do a little more before that is vaild.... keep going d'backs and yanks.... lets got to game 7 3-3 in the 9th... all the marbles in one inning
