My Zaino order arrived today and I was reading the directions on how to use the Clay Bar. Now I thought I ordered sufficient compounds but I did not get Z-7. I got Z-1, Z-2, Z-5, Z-6 and the aforementioned Clay Bar. The instructions say to use Z-7 as a lubricant for the Clay Bar. Somebody please tell me what other material I could use as a "lubricant"? Blue Dawn? K-Y? 5W20? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tony

I use the Griot's Garage clay and they
suggest using their Speedshine as a lubricant
for the clay. Speedshine is a carnauba based
quick detailing mist so I would think that
any quick detailing mist would work with your
clay. I have also used plain water as a
lubricant too. I experimented with the clay
and different lubricants on my 12 year old
Miata paint and they all worked fine.
Good luck!

Thanks for the help. I was going to order some #7 today but heck, the shipping charges for just one little bottle are the same as for a bunch of bottles. Now I can put off buying the concentrated cleaner until I need something else. Again, Thanks!
