Supercharging the 2001 Bullitt ?'s

I really want to put some blow to my Bullitt, however I a really love the stock intake and TB on the Bullitt which leads me to believe that I would like a centrifugal SC over a twin screw. However, I do understand that the twin screw has a lot wider power band, with a lot more low end torque. Due to the fact that the Bullitt has a slightly different configuration what would I need to do to get a GT Kenne Bell to fit, or should I just go with Vortech who makes a kit specifically for the Bullitt?

The Vortech seems to be the most bang for the buck. Do you know the difference between the standard vortech kit and the HO?

That makes sense, since it runs cooler it provides a little more boost or they put a slightly smaller pulley on it.

I went with the centi, becauce I didnt want to sacrifice my intake either. I love the centi, becuace when your just cruising around town you dont even know its there I got 18 miles a gallon going to the nats this year. You wont be disapointed with a vortec they make really good blowers and there customer service is good to. I would recommend getting an intercooler though, I only had mine Nonintercooled for like a month before I added an intercooler. I would have saved money on a tune if I would have just done it at the beginnging.

I have the Vortech love works really well when u have the right gears in. I would have gotten a KB but alot of people I know who have them most of them said it leaked alot and the internals would get chewed up.
But its up to u. Didnt know they made a turbo kit cuz I would have gone that route but I'm happy wit the Vortech.

That turbo kit requires a lot more work to install than the supercharger, the site doesn't say the power specs for it

You can email them and they will give you all the specs.. I did when I looked into it.. It does require more work and a little extra money.. It all comes down to what you really want and how much you're willing to spend..

I know I'm biased, but I vote for the KB. You get immediate acceleration in just about any gear, and the whine is to die for. Plus if you can fight the temptation, you can drive it like it was a stock B. Anytime I take my friends out (they all own 60's and 70's muscle cars), they can't believe how it accelerates, even with the A/C blasting!

By the way, KB does make a Bullitt specific kit.

I'm sure that whatever way you go, you'll be happy!

Oh I wasn't satying that it wasn't. Definitely a bad ass s/c. It's a ways down the road for me really unless I re-enlist.
