I bought the H&R hubcentric spacers before Barnaby tuned everyone in to the AIM lugcentric ones.

H&Rs are quite a bit more expensive but I have no regrets. I may buy the AIM one's for my '97GT though.

is there any real benefit with hubcentric or lugcentric spacers? I understand the difference but is it really worth the price? also the link for the cheapy ones that are $40...is this for the pair or just a single one?

As far as I am concerned, it is not worth the extra money. Just torque them down while they are still in the air and you will never even notice the difference.

It is $39 each or $94 for the pair shipped.
